CHOOSING YOUR TRAINER

Choosing a dog trainer?

Choosing your trainer is important, so please take your time and do your homework.

Here are some questions you should ask!

Which Class Format is Best?

Partners offers three ways to train your dog.

You can attend send your dog to Resident Camp; you can bring your dog to Group Classes or you can train Privately with an instructor. Each has its pros and cons, and no system does it all.

Why Training is a Necessity?

Training your dog does a number of things. First, it teaches you what behavior is, and why dogs do what they do. Second, it teaches your dog what is acceptible behavior, and the consequences of stepping out of line. And finally, it teaches you both how to find common ground and establish a foundation that allows us to live together.

What's the Best Age for Training?

Firstly, this is not as important as many believe. While we prefer you start training with us about six months of age, the truth is "you can teach an old dog new tricks". Some trainers will start working with a puppy at 8 weeks of age, but clearly you need to know what you are doing then.

How do we Contact You?

You can call us at 480 595 6700, or you can come by for a visit.

You can also email us, but remember we need to see your dog before we can give training advice.

Resident Camp dogs can start as soon as you are ready. We start new classes every month, and private lessons can be scheduled within a few days.
