DOG AGILITY

Agility group learning about safety   What is dog agility?

Agility is teaching dogs to jump obstacles, run through tunnels, over dog walks and through weave poles.

Partners Dog Training has a full time agility facility, where you can practice, play and run your dog every day of the week.

Kid jumping dog over jump   Who can do it?

Agility is open to all dogs, all breeds, all ages and all handlers. We love to see kids doing agility, as it teaches them so much about their dogs.It is easy to do, and almost any dog can learn the basics within a few hours.
The only limitation we have is safety.
Dogs must be at least 6 months old.
No aggressive dogs (let us help you if this is an issue)
Your dog must be leash trained.
We are here to have FUN, and enjoy our dogs.

Partners agility instructors and trainers have years of experience working with new students. But our goal is teaching ANY AND ALL dogs to do agility, many of which would otherwise not have been involved.
Agility clubs only want serious handlers with competitive dogs.
At Partners you can have the slowest dog, quietest handler or goofiest personality. WE LOVE YOU ALL!

Agility is great exercise.
Agility is great fun.
More importantly, it teaches handlers how to control their dogs in a high drive and excited situation, which is what a lot of people need.
There is also a huge advantage in being able to control your dog off leash, something almost everyone needs to do.

Partners is a behavioral training school. While most of the Agility instructors are not behavioral trainers, they have access to staff that can help you with almost any problem.
Agility at Partners is here for people and dogs to enjoy themselves and have fun.
We don't care how fast, slow or competitive your dog is or isn't.
We care about you learning to have fun.

I want to compete in Agility

That is absolutely great. While Partners specializes in those that just want to play and have fun, we do have a Level 4 class on Monday evenings that is serious about agility, and that competes in all the events around the state.

Instructors have years of competitive Agility behind them and can help you get your dog ready for that big event.
