Only dogs participating in this seminar are permitted.
This seminar will include training sessions throughout the ranch, training facility, residence, workshop and desert.
Please dress comfortably and wear appropriate shoes.
Please arrive at least 15 min early, as we will start promptly at 11.00am. (Anyone who has been to our classes knows)
There wil be a break at 12 pm.
Please quiet all cellphones as a courtesy to others.
We will provide notes and pens for those that need it.
A DVD on this (and other) seminar will be available at a later date. Please let us know if you would like one.

Like many of our sessions, this seminar will be filmed. This allows us to use footage in future seminars for training purposes, as well as promotional purposes.
We are also working on a project which may appear on TV later. Footage and photos taken may be used for this project.
We will also be showing videos and photos from our extensive collection on pet behavior.

Please note that protection training holds substantial risk of injury to dogs and handlers. While every effort is made to keep you AND us from getting hurt, you are still at risk.

There will be three parts:, Theory, Evaluating and Practical.

We will also look at:
What exactly is a "Personal Protection Dog"
Finding a good candidate for a protection dog.
How do dogs perceive protection.
What are the complications in using facmily pets.
Legalities and liabilities.
Does this make a dog aggressive or mean.
How effective are dogs at protecting families
Defensive barking
Apprehension, bark and hold
Working with kids and protection dogs.
